open cedar stream
was out bushwacking, first with just boots thru the foot n half deep powder snow at bruces mill, then snowshoeing all thru the -15c sunshine at walkers woods on saturday and then scooted up to georgian bay to12 mile bay road on sunday morning and walked thru -16c sunshine and snow sparkling like diamonds and the fast moving open streams and bluejays flitting all around and me with no peanuts and they would not have any of my sandwich i left on the ground at least not while i was nearby…

Ed Reliuga Beautiful ❤️
Michael Zarowsky thanks Ed, interesting that streams have stayed open most of the winter this year…
Ed Reliuga Micheal Zarowsky . Yes, it has been an interesting Winter. Tromping through the woods has been, somehow, different this year. One thing….its been a lot wetter. My knee high gum boots have been my footwear of choice this year.
Micheal Zarowsky Ed Reliuga walked up 12 mile bay rd making my own trails thru foot n half of snow with just boots on got soaked thru / that’s okay i chose to do so / also walked it with snowshoes, the latest snow being powder it did not hold me up .but at the same time just flew off the snowshoes as as light as a feather with each step upwards n onwards / oxtongue river from a while back…out in whistler now if i remember right: – “daylight stretching out past morning along the river” 30×45 watercolour on gessoed panel

James Buren The water!
Micheal Zarowsky thanks James, light and water are what we are all about; i like it that with both you paint everything except the thing you are painting. water being transparent, the kind we paint, we are working with the sky reflecting down, the bottom reflecting upwards and both shoreline reflections trying to contain the water….
Garry Hamilton Micheal Zarowsky Very well described
Micheal Zarowsky Garry Hamilton and the light… paint only the effects of the light although i know some who…oh never mind….
Garry Hamilton Micheal Zarowsky A picture is worth…
