room for the unexpected

the water lilies and wild rice are currently filling my head and this latest one, ‘water lilies and wild rice # 16’, by being closer to drawing with paint than not, shaping colour out of the white to the point of abstraction, and yet, not. (earlier works on dories, also grew to the point of lines freely giving shape to the same degree of abstraction, and parallels were made to Milne, concerning the whites and now as then, suggestions of drawing with paint continue to work backwards from those whites)

now an ongoing series / will post what further sense / success i can make of this idea
