infinity rings
Over the last 30 years Wendy and I have worked specific ideas, in this case, water patterns resembling galaxies’ spirals, infinity rings, pushed each as far as it was willing to let me at any given time, then let it go, to the back burner of my mind, repeatedly returning to them when I had something more/new to say through paint about them.
infinity rings has been, is an ongoing series we have explored and keep coming back to for some time now, the fact that this work is number 168 in this series speaks of the infinite ways water appears to us…

the changes in access to the east side of queen lizzy wildlands prov park via devils lake has already turned us off from going back there, has us thinking it is time to move on find new lakes to play around in; no great loss, we have moved on from dozens of ponds lakes streams once we felt we worked / exhausted what was there. (occasional revisits to these sources just to see how they changed after we left rarely changed our m minds about having moved on…margaret lake is another east side to queen lizzy’s wildlands ( always inching / exploring further north with each trip, the traffic from a 1,000 foot portage between devils lake and margaret lakes with dan lake inbetween, may soon force us to rethink our relationship with margaret lake as well…
