watercolour painted directly on gessoed panel so the use of acrylic here is limited to two coats of varnish.
while common to see pickerel weed growing in a lot thicker regattas closer to shore, i like the design afforded to those venturing further out to catch the sun.
i am often wrong simply because it is impossible to keep up with all the latest info on everything i am interested in let alone what the rest of the world is up to. i may be wrong here in my conclusions but i am not in what i witnessed all around me.
earlier this week i was up a good length of 400 / 69 (and down most of the side roads leading off) up to cutoff to Noelville / hwy 64, and all of the shallow stuff, the creeks, streams, ponds small to larger weaving around the rocks showing stretches of themselves not seen since the last drought, all of them were bone dry. the moss that grows on the precambrian rocks was crackly break at touch dry.
we are sucking the ground water out of the province and the the first of maybe irreversible effects is these missing parts of the ecosystem. and all the critters they supported let alone the province having to change to its motto of boasting over 5 million lakes to several hundred, not to mention all that lush growth we are used to will lacking a major part of what made it lush in the first place will disappear.
