Jane Moylan Amazing. I’m not sure, but I think I’m seeing your style change into a more impressionistic style? I honestly think you could be one of the great Group of Seven….
Micheal Zarowsky Morning Jane, although it is way way to early to have any rational and sensible thoughts, coffee is still brewing, i can see what and where you are heading with this; we have always found, for us, that initial exploration of something new, meant learning all about it, which translates to being a tad more realistic in the initial stages, and then as comfort grows thru familiarity, the ability to let go more, invites an impressionistic exploration at that point; sometimes we go with it, sometimes we continue to lean closer to the realism end of the spectrum; anyways the work has always bandied back n forth between realism and impressionism; on another note, much comment has been made about some of the stuff we do sharing some aspects with David Milne’s work; i guess the negative space thingy; but feel David and I would have gotten along just fine were he still alive. one last comment; given almost everything that can be said and done with / about landscape has been sad n done / we find with our direct way of seeing / the focus / energy is always on original / fresh / new compositions / have been working out a series of smaller ideas that could even be thought of as sketches
