talking my way thru an interview
talking my way thru an interview…what else would i be doing? however given how neurotic i am, that is not a to be taken for granted statement…..
up into the darkness of 4:30 am with a kiss to Wendy and asking her to get back into bed, out the.door by 5 and if i thought i would have the road to myself, boy am i out of it; sure it took only 6 minutes to reach the 401, 30 to fly by signs n cutofffs to newmarket; just under an hour to gas up at petro canada corner of hwy 12 at glenayr sideroad 8 and lose the dark, finally see some light going thru brechin and the having to stop, at okay, not quite every water over ice over snow flooded depression after that; just the ones with all the burnt sienna colours in the water from the dropped pine needles.
a bit further, got sidetracked off onto 118 and dropped further away into distraction from directly where i was going by turning onto and following the muskoka river as if silently moved alongside the mathisaville road, which thankffully is not that long of a road from one end to the other; after which a small hop further along 118 until i noticed the time and rewound my tracks back to hwy 11 n motored up to huntsville; parked in front of hunters bay radio station and was wondering whether to go i or not when this gal, who turned out to be Helena, walked by, stopped, came over to the truck, knocked on the window, asked if i was who i was, and invited me in. Phew! who knows, i might have still been out there trying to decide whether to go in or not….
so how did the interview go?
well this sunday at 7:30 am, and again march 5th at 11 pm, it will be aired. and i will get a link to a podcast which i will lhook up to a subsequent post here and on facebook.
all i can say is Helena did offer to have me back again for another interview some time in the near future….
