in painting a moment passing / holding that moment up to the light even though that moment is the light is all about the light / ruminating on on just how much of the time spent being there comes across in the painted moment / being there it feels open to forever / and how does it matter / how much of all the ideas of paintings already done / baggage / do i bring with me / do they offer supportive comfort or block my seeing until i let go and come to feel myself in the now place where i am / do concerns evolve / interests deepen with time or move laterally / does detail worked thru help convey the sense of time spent there / is detail expressive of awareness of being in that moment / looking at the painting can others see / feel the totality of the moment i was lost in / wandered thru / embraced / adjustments / in seeing / in hearing / how many moments added up to fill the painting full of detail and how many others went into editing things out which would not be part of the central idea / the visible and the invisible / if there is any meaning to the painting / to what i paint overall / can it mean anything other that just what i made of it in the moment i lost myself there / or does meaning come afterwards depending on what i make of the moment in thru the painting / are these different / i won’t even go into why that particular place / moment and not some other / i know the moments i choose matter to me / i am amazed no one else has stopped here and made something of the same place same moment i got lost in / equally amazed that i was more than likely here before and saw other things at those moments / okay so i can’t step in the same moment twice in the same way / just glad for the moments i have /
