XIII Bienal Internacional de la Acuarela. Primera parte.
Domingo 16 de diciembre de 2018.
XIII Internacional Watercolor Biennial
First part
Sunday, December 16th, 2018.
The “Alfredo Guati Rojo” National Watercolor Museum with more than 50 years of experience, has managed to follow up on activities established by its founder, such as the International Watercolor Biennial in Mexico City, opening today, the XIII edition.
The inaugural event was attended by members of the Board of the Museum, Artists representing the Watercolor Mexico and as special guests, Miss. Marcia Adorno, Counselor of the Embassy of Brazil in Mexico, Ms. Felicia Sun, representative of the Embassy of China in Mexico and Mr. Valentin Modev, Hon. Ambassador of Bulgaria in Mexico.
The opening concert was in charge of the Xihuitl Quartet, who performed a special program of Mexican music, which included songs such as “Bésame mucho” and “Huapango”.
Mr. Alfredo Guati Rojo drew a fraternal relationship of collaboration and exchange with national and international entities. Thanks to his vision, diplomacy and talent to establish solid links with associations of watercolorists in different countries, in 1994 the first edition of the International Watercolor Biennial in Mexico was held.
Each edition has been different and has shown the trends and proposals of watercolor in different regions of the world, as there are countries that have been taking part of the exhibition every two years.
