Ed Reliuga The commonality is there….but Gordon’s work dives headlong into abstraction whereas yours treads the border, alongside of realism and super realism.
I shouldn’t have said “treads”…..I meant “dances.”
- Micheal Zarowsky I begin with abstraction but pull out a certain amount of realism by the time I am done / am more interested in bringing out what i find to be beautiful in the world / anyways having just discovered him I will take a closer look at what he has done / is all about. beaver pond sherborne lake access rd 29x 29 watercolour on gessoed panel
Bottom of Form
- Ed Reliuga Also, your palette is far more exciting.
That said, I love Gordon’s work. I first discovered it about fifteen years ago, when I was traipsing around Victoria Island (I couldn’t have said dancing instead of traipsing … I’m a lousy dancer.)
- Micheal Zarowsky drove to Detroit, stood atop the car looking west did not see the mountains, so turned around and drove back. so far, as far as I understand it, I hear from others that the mountains and victoria and all may be out there….autumn on the pond 16 48×30
