drowned land
DROWWWWWWNED LAND… of the many ‘ spring runoff ‘ i have painted where the water floods the whole forest making it look like it would be visually fun to kayak among the patches of just submerged ice, the solid dark wetness of the tree trunks standing their ground, rising up, enduring as it were their electrically shimmering icy water reflections dropping down the appearance of being bottomlessly deep in mere inches of the pine needle burnt sienna stained melt. nothing drab about march or early april if you open yourself up to what is around you…
