John McCrae wrote; Jackson Pollock like. I heard a lecture from a professor of Parson’s School of Design at the Museum of Modern Art several years ago on Pollock’s work that resembles your mixed media painting. I really like it.
thanks for the comparison – a friend wrote of my work; . This artist has an uncanny ability to isolate the essence of a landscape, and then illuminate the small part of the whole, which becomes the very symbol of that which it represents. That, of course, is what abstraction is all about; but the genius of Micheal Zarowsky is that he presents the effect of abstraction while he is actually painting in a realistic way some isolated element that signifies, with utmost economy, the wider scene.

understanding uncertainty in a mess of overwhelmingness…….
(having no personal defenses, i am easily drawn to the familiar; changing how i live means distrusting the familiar, a Kierkegaardian leap of faith into openness as it were, across the chasm of continuity while maintaining consistency; ‘home on the range’ when i do not know where i am going….the difficulty lies in leaving ideas after briefly exploring them as a way of maintaining the uncertainty in which i find new ideas to lose myself in……)

Patricia Adams Spivey Painting pictures with words and speaking thoughts with paint – beautiful expressions, each!
Micheal Zarowsky Good Morning Patricia, your way with words is like honey to a bee, thanks
It is a struggle, both of them, but i want as complete an experience as i will probably never step in that moment again

James V. Chism shared your photo: “Amazing artist and ‘poet’ (in my opinion)”
Micheal Zarowsky: Poet exceeds me; There is no one way to describe or for that matter interpret any painting, and i certainly do not want to limit in any way the ambiguity inherent in it / i enjoy hearing what anyone takes away from each work and simply ramble on a bit to try and kick start / open up any dialogue that may or may not be forthcoming…..but thanks James, you’re very kind..
