open streams in winter
not often i find streams open in the middle of winter, especially in – 24 degree temps, what’s even more surprising was while walking thru 3 inches of ground cover, stepping and sinking knee deep into a sinkhole in the blink of an eye, and after a bit of a struggle to get out while keeping my boots on, to try use the snow to wash off the oozing stinky mud; don’t i am complaining here, more of still getting over the surprise of ground not being frozen in subzero temps. either way, given the visual beauty i was able to lose myself in, it was all worth it to have wandered thru the area…

- Ed Reliuga Does the depth of the blue reflect the temperature or is it due to the time of day? I never noted this until you brought it to my attention. Since then, my eyes have really opened….just not as wide as yours.
Ed Reliuga Oh…..btw…..once again, words fail me. The simplicity of this piece is an illusion….so …so…realistic, yet, stylized in a rich deep way.
Like I said words fail me.
Micheal Zarowsky thanks Ed, quite happy with this piece, simple yet…..as to the ‘blues’ for me indicate the temps outside / as it gets warmer there is more red in the blues, conversely as temps drop, the blues thin down ./ thin out become paler / then the sun drops below the treeline and drains all the colour out of winter
Susan Smith-McPherson Beautiful!
Micheal Zarowsky thank you Susan, appreciate your comments. ·
Hilary Clark Cole Your winter captures thrill me, Michael!
Micheal Zarowsky thank you Hilary, a mix of part crazy and part it is breathtaking and humbling to have an opportunity to be out n about wandering in the middle of nowhere I the winter, which i then get the chance to make into somewhere
Judy Tweedie breathtaking beauty💛

Janet Bloomer Roberson Love this…the blue❄️❄️❄️
Micheal Zarowsky thanks Janet, with all our sub zero temps lately the blue have been mighty thinned out of colour
