pictures away from home
every so often a friend / client will send over a personal photo which includes / shows how one of my paintings is adjusting to its new life now that it has left the studio; this mornings seasonally appropriate treat comes from Dave Thomas via Kathryn Thomas, and fittingly the saugeen river iris painting is mere background in all this…..
and then became aware of another couple, Laura and David’s post of ornamenting their xmas tree with our painting of a ‘late october beaver pond on troutspawn road’ , behind it….
and to add to this growing call home, some of our work, which we get reacquainted with, at Judy Davey’s this time, which has left home, has a mountie honour guard…..top right: ferris wheel late evening in paris; bottom windswept winter sunlight (both watercolour on arches paper from years and years ago)
this is one post that can go on indefinitely; this is the 3rd time i have edited it, adding new pics of work, calling home, from all over the world; this time, 2 of the dory paintings from the east coast, from Terry Spier now living in New York City….all i can say is the work seems to fit right in wherever it is, has gone to……….
