in always looking to best describe each work there is no time limit for coming to understand something about the work; last year titled a november pond off twelve mile bay rd., in georgian bay, with the ice beginning to freeze reach across the pond ( much like a flat skydome roof closing) focusing on the absolute silence and the slow creep of the ice across the pond and calling it
silence and ice on the pond

The first words out of my mouth, when I saw this work, was was quite atypical. Apparently, I sanctified a carnal act.

Once again, Michael, you have rendered me devoid of superlatives. I can only shake my head and stare in awe.
This work is so simplistic…yet it overflows with a beauty that is soooo sublime. Of course, any appreciation of art is, I suppose, quite subjective. But, I find myself truly frozen, staring at this piece and I can’t really explain why. Wow!
