it is may and i am working on new winter ideas and am pretty sure most people who visit are tired of winter and will move from ever visiting here again. no apologies as this is my first chance to get some of these ideas out of my head the last few months being a blur of everything else on the planet coming our way.
there is a large pond on the south side of 169 and a stream that runs under and along the hwy on the north side till it empties into a pond inside hardy lake. the hwy runs / is some 20 / 25 feet higher above parallel to / with the stream creating a mountainside feel to is as the spring melt expands this stream to quick running levels. again just looking for the wild in wherever we find ourselves.
this winter the snow levels up north were like those out of our childhood when the snowbanks along queen street , and any other street, ploughed to 4 to five feet high pyramid shaped long long strips, the length of each street. so no point going up north when the locals are all digging out from definitely noticeable snow falls; where would i park that wouldn’t soon see a snow plough coming by; and then after everything was restored to functioning again well there was no new snow until the next avalanche and although only ventured north on a few occassion what i was able to snowshoe thru was totally refreshing.
