sunrise
Get up north halfway thru the night nap in back till sun leaks some colour back into the world, so it makes sense that at some point the idea of sunrise itself, of the morning light captures and holds our imagination for as long as we choose to explore it and we will explore it as long as we find new life in the idea.

We stop once we start to get too comfortable with the idea….we pick up again once we see new light in the idea…
Last 2 winters have explored some well travelled terrain, bushwacking my own trails off the trunk and collector snowmobile trails along and past gala lake south off 12 mile bay rd and some new stretches of what seems to me to be a longer than thin wisp wide ribbon of snowbelt coming in off Georgian bay covering the southwood rd / severn bridge / washago area.
This winter looking to explore more of depth of leapfrogging streaks of light and shadow as I snowshoe further into the forest; it is good to have an idea to start out from; I do so each year based on looking back on what ideas we discovered over and above everything else we got done that year; ideas that were put on the backburner until I could find time for them.. however each time i get up north i lose myself in what is around me and as often as not come away with new idieas based on but that we would not have been open to, that could not have happened until we painted the ideas we did.
