Daydream Willows
Believing in, applying, my own definition of what a landscape is, then, I am not
a landscape painter, which is not to say I haven’t painted a landscape. I abstract
shape, form, rhythm, pattern out of the landscape I lose myself in, and this is not the same thing as painting landscapes. Nor am I simply splitting hairs here, merely pointing out a different approach, my own unique way of seeing, of working and abstracting ideas, resulting in paintings of highly lyrical, accented aspects of the total landscape.
what may become a new series, is now 2 painted expressions of a willow covered, somewhat foggy spit of land jutting out into the lake.
