in ‘trail thru sunlight’, 36″ x 40″  i am able to continue and add to what i have up to now grouped as my ‘blue sky day’ works; works focusing on the sparkling clarity of light dance-moving thru the forests while casting blue shadows revealing the lay of the danceland up still to come up ahead 

this got a lot of comments at the TOAF over the weekend including the occasional how long did it take you to do it to which i normally try to explain that my mind functions spatially first more than temporally but today i guess i was in touch with the painting they were asking about and i found myself saying that actually i have noticed my work is taking me longer so paintings like trail thru sunlight which would have been done in 2 days now took over a week and even then, we set it up and looked afresh at it weeks after it was painted and found additional changes we thought worth making so it is more like the painting is never finished as long as it is in our our mitts.
