picked up my entry on sunday at the finale of the CSPWC Open Water 2026 Exhibition at Neilson Park Centre –

     ‘ daylight dropping colour back into the world                                                                                                                                                (after the sun went down and took all the colour with it the night before) ‘                                                                                                                                                                                                                   which is a tad toooo long for a title,                                                                                                                                                                                                                      and had a real treat meeting currant Pres Elizabeth Gilbert – we had emailed back n forth over things before but never met, and i was able to add to the little bit i knew of her, finding her easy to be with, amazing, thoughtful,  how she likes to paint her travels, an on the spot watercolourist gal, kind of person makes the watercolour society the amazing place it is, and then found out that my painting was awarded a wanderings award, kinda fitting as that is what i do – i wander – luckily have not had to drop breadcrumbs along any of my instant made up  ‘trails’  to find my way back especially as the birds amassing for their yearly migration would have swooped and eaten all trace of my return route markers speckled across my wanderings where i would still be there looking for a way out and not have met Elizabeth nor picked up my painting / award let alone have written this.
