beaded doorway curtain into the season
working since and whenever there was a free moment in october (to now) mostly when and because another idea was waiting to dry before i could continue on it, i started working out this idea of looking thru autumn colours down a slight inclining dip more than a hillside to the stream running out of devils lake; i found the remaining leaves hanging from the trees spaced out among themselves like a beaded doorway curtain into the season.
what i am drawn to come autumn, what i find interestingly challenging is not so much the colours, of which one never tires, but presenting the visual wear and tear, presenting interesting patterns of autumn shopworn over time, so to speak, as the days slowly show the progressingly open air effects of the fall season in freefall; half stripped of their leaves, being able to partially see thru where they ain’t, finding designs in autumn allowing us to see thru and past the impenetrably solid warmth of a green summer we had.
