the gently curving line from left to right glides me thru the painting. that simple.            i guess i first saw it in Lemieux’s figure paintings which a slanted horizon line behind the figure creating movement across the surface of the painting. 

pointing out that it is up near the bottom of the la cloche mountain range north of killarney and that the rock is white, especially in the sunlight dazzle. it is not snow.
