in my latest winter light studies from circling n circling back along the edges of the pond at hardy lake resembling a slow nascar race on snowshoes i stepped back from the shoreline looking for what we call interesting ‘screens’ / the ‘what’ of the composition we need to look thru to see the actual pond and managed to understand the unique idea of a pine carving its way out of the snowbank as all the ‘screen’ i would want here.
