my work included in a new artbook; The Artist’s Eye
i first heard of Garry Hamilton, a cool Montreal watercolourist, when he had a show up a Lin Souliere’s gallery in owen sound; i next met him at a few of the watercolour society’s board meetings when if i remember right, for a short while, we were both directors on the board, and i wandered thru his dominican republic with each posted painting from yearly trips there. none of this prepared me for Garry inviting me to be a part of his new book The Artist’s eye. Surprised grateful and thankful to be in such talented company.
Garry’s own comments: Beautiful paintings by artists who share one common attribute. In addition to great technique, they are true to their own vision as artists, their own Artist’s Eye. The paintings are accompanied by the artist’s own observations about their paintings, and some of mine on their works and the creative process.
