sunbright as a series
sunbright (beaver pond hardy lake) is latest in my new series exploring ways of ‘coming to the light ahead’ / following the ‘further now to distances’ ideas / watercolour acrylic painted directly on gessoed panel / 18″ x 24″ / 1300. For everyone interested

Beautiful.
I know that I say that….a lot. But what can I say? So , I’m forced to tell the truth.
Beautiful
Ed Reliuga thanks Ed, appreciate it. first sunbright was bought within the hour of having been put up. the idea of a pond not yet walked up to, still ahead, with stragglers lining the edges all ablaze in the sunlight, the arrangement of trees ahead all simped together thru colour is something i am all in on at the moment; reposting the first one in the current series
Marilyn Woolston beautiful !
Marilyn Woolston thanks Marilyn, got leaves articulatedly outlined with a dusting of snow and even ground cover here this morning.
This stunning, love the contrasts.
Susan Elizabeth Rosen thanks Susan, worked up as much detail as size would allow and still managed to keep it kinda loose. i think it works.
Brilliant! Literally. I love it!
Kieran McAuliffe thanks Kieran, perhaps i’m too predictable approaching that of a moth drawn to a flame but when it’s live theatre i’m out there
Kieran McAuliffe
Micheal, what is it about this painting that makes it somehow unique? Is it a hard edge to the shadows? Is it the contrast? I think this one is outstanding.
Micheal Zarowsky
Kieran McAuliffe it is a lot looser once i figured out what n how to loosen up what is now looser, however all that looseness is tied together to suggest movement? yes the hard edge reinforces the shadows; overall what was in my head at the start was to create an indeterminancy a recognizable vagueness that would want to make you get to the openness up ahead that is the snowcovered beaver pond.
