pretty sure we are in an el nina cycle, little snow here so far this winter, mild temps which mostly mean very little sunshine , grey days great for dark moody 6 inches looks deep enough to drown in pond reflections where the water remains open. so no panic or anything, just waiting for the next full moon while watching to see if we get blanketed with the white stuff at the same time…..

this new work, with the sunlight creating long flowing shadows thru the forest, like so many ocean waves, can also be seen as about looking ahead as to which way i was going to break trail with the lay of the land and the sun guiding me.
