• Ed Reliuga I am not sure quite how you do it, Michael. A walk down the back lanes/ alleyways arent’ typically a source for beautiful scenes. Yet, you are able to capture a sublime beauty from the mundane. I am awed. Really.

• Ed Reliuga You have an amazing “eye” and a sensitivity for the beauty to be found all around us. It is easy to find beauty in nature…..within the chaos of city life…..it’s not that easy. Somehow, however, you find a way.

  Josy Britton Micheal Zarowsky the four live demos I did made me think that maybe I could paint faster. I feel like we both paint light and love colour. I love your paintings and they make me think I could be faster. I love how prolific you are.

   

• Micheal Zarowsky Josy Britton no no no it has nothing to do with faster; i work slower than molasses; i work at the speed of coming to an understanding what i am doing; seeing the detailed intricacies of your work just makes me slow down even more than molasses; the joy lies in losing oneself in the work for as long as one can thru the whole painting process; any ‘prolific’ ness on our part is but 16 hours days 7 days a week; and yes we share similar interests; light and water; painting is a spiritual process connecting me to the world. our emphasis is on the process of discovery – of creative interpretation of some aspect of the world – being coupled with a second process of inventive-ness – the personal expression of what is discovered. and then there is the little fact that a lot of our pieces are rather small which we do cause we have to get them out of our system, as it still means they take all day to work out, but not many many days like the larger ones; backyard with red shed 12″ x 12″ watercolour / acrylic painted directly on gessoed panel
