woke up to an email from Kim Atkins, Chair of the New Members Committee, letting me know, that at the general meeting this past Saturday i was elected a member of the Ontario Society of Artists.

Ontario Society of Artists
The Arts and Letters Club
14 Elm Street -3rd Floor
Toronto, Ontario
22 January 2018

Dear Michael ;

On behalf of all the members of the Ontario Society of Artists, I am very happy to congratulate you on being elected as a new member at the General Meeting yesterday.
The OSA has a long tradition, which began with its founding in 1872. We are Canada’s oldest continuously operating artists’ society. The OSA was instrumental in establishing major art institutions, such as the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts, the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Ontario College of Art. Among its offshoots are the Canadian Society of Graphic Art, the Sculptors’ Society of Canada and the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour.

In 2018 we are a province-wide professional organization with over 260 members working in a wide range of media from many backgrounds and cultures. We know that your accomplishments will enrich and strengthen the OSA..

As you know, an organization’s strength rests with its participating members. I would like to add your name to our list of volunteers.
We hope that you will look at the list of volunteer activities to see where you can support our Society. Please let me know where……….

Cathy Groulx When we were walking around looking at all the submissions, I only heard positivity about your pieces. I am looking forward to hearing who all were accepted in the final results!

Micheal Zarowsky Cathy Groulx thanks for the wonderful feedback; picked up some unsold pieces from the arta gallery late yesterday and the gals there said my work was the big hit in the gallery over the last 2 months; people would just stop and stare and stare at my work they had up on their walls

Micheal Zarowsky thank You Lesley, i also find that anything i post does not reach everyone on friend list / not complaining as apparently this is true for everybody so it is not me being singled out or anything
